Kids in the Kitchen at Valley Haven
The Kids in the Kitchen committee launched their first program for 2022 on Saturday, September 24 at Valley Haven. The committee who is led by Rose Ayala-Gonzalez, put their talents, time and energy into creating a fun and educational experience for the children at Valley Haven. The children had a blast creating monster apples, strawberry and banana shakes, and ants on a log. We can't wait to see what the Kids in the Kitchen committee has planned for their next event.
The goal of the Kids in the Kitchen initiative is to promote child health and wellness by empowering children and youth to make healthy lifestyle choices, therefore preventing obesity and its associated health risks.
